On 16 October, CrossKnowledge welcomed over 600 L&D professionals, representing 320 companies, from 36 countries to Paris for its annual client conference. NEXT 2018 provided a forum for thought leaders and digital learning experts to share their experiences, best practices, and vision about the future of learning, while offering invaluable peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

Starting the day off were Pascal El Grably, Brian A. Napack, and Aref Matin, with all three stressing the importance of integrated learning in times of radical transformation.

Leading analyst, author and thought leader Josh Bersin entertained conference goers with his visionary talk “Learning in the flow of work”, in which he strategized how the L&D marketplace can keep pace to support employee development.

Representatives from Adecco, ArcelorMittal, ENGIE, Solvay and Total took to the stage to share their views on what makes CrossKnowledge a trusted partner in upskilling and reskilling their employees.

The demonstration lounge was busy throughout the day, giving clients the opportunity to see CrossKnowledge’s latest developments, meet their experts and network with other clients. The Consumer Insights booth had a tremendous success in presenting their activities and recruiting new clients in future Beta Tests.

Peter Hinssen, best-selling business author and serial entrepreneur brought NEXT to a close with an exhilarating keynote talk entitled “The day after tomorrow”. He highlighted the consequences organizations face in an exponentially changing world and how they can prepare for survival.

“Fascinating”, “inspiring”, and “insightful” were just some of the words echoing around the sessions. Delegates left NEXT 2018 with their mind bursting with new ideas on how not to just survive but how to thrive in an increasingly volatile world. Of course, one of the key take-homes was the need to focus on ongoing, seamless training in the workplace—and that’s where CrossKnowledge can help.
